The Cordwainer to be Champion Sponsor for Beth Israel Lahey Health Gala

NORWELL — The Cordwainer, a family-owned and operated memory care assisted living community opening this summer, is excited to announce it will be a “Champion Sponsor” of the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital 2022 Gala. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the gala will be held at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston on May 7.

The theme for this year’s fundraising event is “An Evening of Gratitude,” focusing on the workforce of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and expressing thanks for all this organization and its staff have done over the past few years, including initiatives around education and training.

Beth Israel Lahey Health is a new health care system that combines academic medical centers and teaching hospitals, community and specialty hospitals, more than 4,800 physicians and 36,000 employees in a shared mission to expand access to great care.

The Cordwainer will include 54 suites for residents and is being developed at 555 Cordwainer Drive. The community will feature unique programming, “The Learned Environment℠,” designed to stimulate cognitive thinking and foster learning through music, art and foreign languages. Community amenities will include all-inclusive pricing, spacious living, dining and activity rooms, indoor and outdoor sensory gardens, wood workshop, barbershop and salon, a private suite for families, and performance and rejuvenation centers. Services will include an onsite executive chef, nursing and personal care assistants, wellness programs, laundry and housekeeping, medication management, transportation and more. In addition, the community will have modern technologies to support resident engagement, safety and health.
