The Cordwainer Featured in Environments for Aging Spring Design Showcase

The Cordwainer Memory Care Assisted Living community in Norwell was prominently featured in Environments for Aging Magazine’s Spring issue, which showcases senior living designs that foster resident health and wellness. In the article, “Naturally Social,” author Kristin Zeit wrote “the community encourages residents to embrace life and light-filled spaces and multisensory experiences.”

The article highlights how The Cordwainer’s founders, Tamilyn and Bodo Liesenfeld of Anthemion Senior Lifestyles, researched memory care therapies, technology and building designs in Europe and the United States before opening the 54-suite memory care community in late 2022. Additionally, the feature article discusses the specific design features – from accentuating natural light, amplifying connections to nature, and incorporating extensive common areas and the overall flow of the internal space – to support resident well-being.

Environments for Aging serves an audience of planners, architects, interior designers, community owners and operators, and other professionals immersed in the planning, design, construction, and ongoing operation of senior living communities.
